The Role

  • As a Graduate Software Developer you will be responsible for developing new and existing innovative solutions for RIBA Enterprises.
  • You will assist with the production of new software products and enhance/repair existing software.
  • Working with the wider Research and Development team, you will ensure the correct software technology and methodology is chosen for new products and that current products are updated to new technologies.
  • You will plan, design and prioritise your work to ensure software functionality, deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • You will keep up to date with new and emerging software development practises and participate in in-house knowledge sharing seminars.


The Candidate

  • Will hold a degree or equivalent in a Computer Science related discipline.
  • Will thrive on challenges and work well on their own or as part of a multi-disciplinary team, helping to turn innovative ideas into successful solutions.
  • Will be self-motivated, have excellent programming skills, and be enthusiastic about modern software development practices.
  • Will hold experience developing object-oriented software (.NET is preferable), will also hold experience in Microsoft programming languages (C# is preferable)
  • Will hold previous experience working with web development platforms (ASP.NET is preferable) 
  • Ideally will have knowledge of working with SQL Server and an understanding of database design
  • Other programming experience such as JavaScript and C++ would be beneficial.
